On November 19, 2019, National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve plans to open the exhibition devoted to the revived Ukrainian treasures. Within the framework of this event you will be able to observe the rarities from the Dormition Cathedral that belong to the Fund collection of the Preserve. Being the spiritual center of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the Dormition Cathedral has long been playing the role of the main “preserver” of the material treasures created by the real masters. Numerous contributions to the vestry of the Cathedral bear the stamp of their donators, either well-known or unknown personalities. Among them was Hieromonk Benedict, the founder of Pechersk Monastery. He donated the Blessed Cross to the Dormition Cathedral in 1719.

November 19, 2019 is the opening date for the «Revived Ukrainian Treasures» exhibition. It will demonstrate rare museum items from the Dormition Cathedral that belong to the Fund collection of the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve. One of the invaluable exhibition items is « Lamb of God» chalice veil crafted in the middle of the 18th century.

Walking along the historic streets of the Preserve, you can listen to the excursion and observe the sites using the audio guide. It works in two languages - Ukrainian and English, which you can choose by yourself.
