We invite you to participate in the Conference of ICCROM Ukraine “Adaptation of Cultural Heritage Monuments to Modern Use for the Purpose of their Preservation” which will take place on October 21-22, 2021 in the National Preserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra”
Did you know that Lavra’s own laundry was liquidated as an unprofitable “indecent” and “antisanitary” organization in the early 1880’s. Its 30 laundresses that washed the linen of Lavra’s inn and hospital for piligrims, were also fired. After that there started the search of new laundry facilities in Kyiv.
Dear friends! As we have previously announced, our today’s release will be devoted to the life of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra in 1992. It was the first full-fledged year of Ukrainian independence, which was rich on events of national and local importance.
