Dear friends! We bring to your attention our next release of “Memories of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” photo project and start the series of publications devoted to the restoration of the tombstone of Prince Сostiantyn Oleksandrovych Ypsilantis (1760-1816).
Due to the restoration works of the Gate Church of the Trinity, the central entrance to the territory of the Preserve will be CLOSED from September 20, 2021 to October 11, 2021.

Did you know that Lavra’s own laundry was liquidated as an unprofitable “indecent” and “antisanitary” organization in the early 1880’s. Its 30 laundresses that washed the linen of Lavra’s inn and hospital for piligrims, were also fired. After that there started the search of new laundry facilities in Kyiv.
