Did you know that

two types of bricks were used in the construction of the Great Lavra Bell Tower?

The Bell Tower was built of bricks made at the Lybid brick factories owned by the Lavra. The bricks of the first type have a greenish-yellow color, and those of the second one are red, due to the different recipes of the clays used for molding. The base of the Bell Tower is lined with hewn sandstone, brought from Trakhtemirov and Zarubivka in 1739.
